The sand cat is not a good climber or jumper, but it is an excellent digger. It uses this digging ability to dig burrows in the sand to escape the heat of the day.

Imagine: it's a blistering Friday afternoon in August and you can't wait to leave work. When you finally escape, what better way is there to celebrate the start of the weekand than with food, friends and a few icy cold ones at the Friends of the Rosamond Gifford Zoo's 13th annual happy hour fundraiser - Brew at the Zoo...and wine, too! to benefit the Zoo, the care and feeding of its animals and its education programs.
Guests will taste over a dozen regional wines and nearly 60 different beers, eat delicious food and enjoy live music provided by Dave Hanlon's Cookbook. Who knew philanthropic endeavors could taste so good?
Anyone under the age of 21, including infants and toddlers, will not be admitted.
