Spotted Turtle

Spotted turtles are omnivorous (eats both animal and plant foods) and feeds primarily underwater. Spotted turtles are active all day long in early spring. The sex of the hatchling is determined by nest temperature at specific times during the incubation period. Cooler temperatures produce males and warmer temperatures produce females.

Dinosaur Invasion 2018 Syracuse Zoo RGZ

Dinosaur Invasion: 101 Days of Dinosaurs
Friday, May 25 through September 3, 2018

 

The Friends of the Zoo worked with Texas-based Billings Productions, a leader in the design and production of lifelike, animatronic dinosaurs, to turn zoo grounds into a dinosaur theme park for the summer. This display will be FREE to zoo members and with zoo admission.

The dinosaurs are scheduled to arrive for the "unload" on May 14, and will be assembled in the following couple of weeks. Stay tuned here and check our Facebook page for updates!
