Personality: A very mellow bird.  The smallest male in our colony.  Not currently paired but likes to hang out with his best bud Jake.

Identification Band: Yellow on left flipper

Personality:  Highly determined.  She knows what she wants and how to get it.  Rather aloof around the keepers.  She has currently set her sights on Jake.

Carmen

Gender:  Female

Date of Birth : 4/6/2001

Birthplace:  Sea World San Diego

Weight:  8.6 lbs

Identification Band:  Blue on left flipper

Personality: A true people flirt.  If you're a familar face, she'll show her appreciation.  Her keeper crushes are fading as she has now taken an interest in Phil and has settled down to raise 2 new chicks with him! The keepers she used to court now must beware of her highly protective maternal instinct. 

Danta

Gender: Female

Personality: Fredrico's gal.  She is bold, confident and has a very high self-esteem.  A trait she will hopefully pass along to her new chicks.

Personality:  A true penguins penguin.  She has very little interest in the human species but has great loyalty for her mate, Jose.

Personality:  The other half of the "power duo" with Danta.  Is known to be brazen & pushy towards people, penguins and anything that gets in his way!  Perhaps being a father to the couples two new chicks will tame his wild ways!

Personality: A true keeper's pal!  He has been trying to "play it cool" with the ladies but Bianca has recently found the way to melt his heart.

Personality:  Our largest male, he likes to mingle with the keepers.  A laid-back type of fellow and only wishes to cha-cha with Lola.

Personality:  She's definitely not a showgirl as she tends to be more aloof.  This behavior may be changing as she has recently found a mate in Jorge.

Personality:  The friendly type, except when it comes to keeper calves. She's an ankle-biter true to heart.  Has recently decided that Wylie is the penguin for her! Apparently he is more interesting than keeper ankles.

Identification Band:  Red and black on right flipper

Personality:  Very well-mannered penguin.  At first had shown very little interest in finding a mate.  However, he and poquita now seem to be hitting it off very well.  Could this be love?   

Nero

Gender:  Female

Weight:  7.5 lbs

Identification Band:  Black on left flipper

Personality:  A true nighmare to all fish.  She is by far, the best fisherpenguin of the colony. 

Phil

Gender:  Male

Date of Birth:  6/4/2002

Birthplace:  Philadelphia Zoo

Weight:  11 lbs

Identification Band:  Green on right flipper

Personality:  Lovable, outgoing & always hungry. Originally seeking playful female penguin mate.  It now appears Carmen is "The One" to tame him as they are now the proud parents of two new chicks. 

Pilar

Weight:  9.5 lbs

Identification Band:  Green on left flipper

Personality: Love at first sight with Phil has faded, the magic has gone.  She is back on the market.  Her floating capabilities are her strongest asset.

Personality:  Dressed in her pinkest feet, poquita tends to be the favorite of all the boys.  But it appears Mario has won her heart!  The smallest of the colony, she proves that size really does not matter.

Weight:  10.7 lbs

Identification Band:  Red and blue on right flipper

Personality:  One of the newest to the colony.  A very mellow guy with a lot of class and table manners that are top notch!  He initially was scoping out the ladies from afar before choosing his perfect match!  After a long search, it appears Mara is the gal of his dreams.
