Contribution Opportunities
The Friends of The Rosamond
Gifford Zoo at Burnet Park is a not-for-profit organization, dedicated
to supporting the efforts and mission of the zoo.
In order to achieve our mission,
we rely on philanthropic contributions. These support programs in education,
wildlife conservation, animal science, as well as new exhibits and improvements
to the zoo.
Help us establish the Animal Health Fund at the Rosamond Gifford Zoo
We recently raised funds to purchase a new,
state-of-the-art digital ultrasound machine.
With the establishment of the Animal Health Fund, we are continually raising funds to support the needs of our animals and our veterinary staff.
Your contribution is vital to the success of this endeavor. Please consider a gift that will help provide important equipment needed for the health and welfare of our animals.
To make a donation, please contact Holly Karker at (315) 435-8511 x108.
Introducing the Circle of Friends!
The Circle of Friends is a philanthropic group of annual donors committed to
helping us fulfill our mission. We invite contributions of cash and in-kind from
individuals, corporations and foundations.

Event Sponsorships
Sponsorship at the zoo is
an opportunity for companies and corporations to engage a wide demographic
range of consumers in a truly unique and special environment. Your name
and participation can be associated with a number of different programs,
promotions and events.
These popular favorite events have a long history
in our community, and they provide fun, entertainment and support for
your zoo.
- Breakfast/Lunch with the Bunny - March/April
- Fiesta de las Aves (Festival of Birds) - May
- Brew At The Zoo - August
- The Great Zoo Boo - October
- Breakfast/Lunch with Santa - November/December
Exhibit Your Support
This campaign provides the corporate community with the opportunity to assist
the Zoo by underwriting the cost of caring for our resident animals. One of the
biggest expenses of the Zoo is the cost of feeding the hundreds of animals in
our care each year. Choose the exhibit that most compels you, and in return for
your three-year commitment and sponsorship, your company’s name will be
proudly displayed on a permanent plaque at your chosen exhibit. Click here for
a list of available exhibits.
Your support WILL make a difference!
For more information or for a brochure on available exhibits and benefits,
please contact the zoo at (315) 435-8511 ext. 108.
Memorial Bench/Tree of Life
Along the meandering walks
and paths of the zoo’s grounds and exhibits, your donation of
a Memorial Donor Bench
or gift to the Horticulture
Fund through the Tree of Life will be a practical and lasting legacy.
Planned Giving: The Elephant Society
The Elephant Society has been
created for those who have chosen to support the Zoo through planned
giving. If you are thinking about how to best underwrite your interests,
becoming a member of the Elephant Society is the gift that endures.
Your gift will help create a secure future for the zoo and its education
and conservation programs. A plaque recognizing you as one of our Elephant
Society Members will be prominently displayed in the zoo lobby. We invite
you to become a part of this unique club... With the right strategy,
you may be able to maximize your charitable giving and decrease taxes,
increase income, bypass capital gains, and reduce or eliminate estate
tax.
General Donations
Although we try to recognize
all categories of gifts and donations at all levels, a general contribution
for any purpose to further any cause you may deem worthy here at the
zoo can be given at your discretion.
