Come to the Rosamond Gifford Zoo during the fall and winter months! There are many benefits, including a more flexible schedule. The spring and summer months tend to fill up fast, so plan ahead!

The education department offers fun educational experiences for a wide range of visitors. Whether you are a family, teacher, general visitor or representative of a group, we offer programs to meet your needs and interests.

Our education programs are designed to enhance the learners experience and understanding of our natural environment. School programming is designed to fit the NYS Learning Standards. Programs are open to zoo members and non-members.

At "Animals in the Classroom," K-12 teachers will find a variety of grade and subject specific lesson plan kits, linked directly to the New York State Learning Standards. These kits are complete with lessons, activity sheets, photos and zoo maps to help teachers make the most of their visit to the Rosamond Gifford Zoo.

Career Talks

The Rosamond Gifford Zoo provides career talks, including a PowerPoint presentation for 6th -12th grades.  Career talks are provided as a type of zoo to You program; click here for more information and pricing for Zoo to You.
