Education

NOTICE: The zoo is open with limited capacity and new health protocols. Please visit syracusezooevents.org/education for updates on zoo education programs!

We also have home-schooling materials for your use at syracusezooevents.org/education/learn-at-home.

Registration

Reservations are required for all programs. There is limited space in each program so please register early.  A minimum number of registrants is required to run a program.

Winter Weather Policy

All education programs, including Edventure Academy, camps and evening programs will run as scheduled unless the zoo has been closed by order of Onondaga County. Sorry, but no refunds or rain checks will be given for 'no-shows' for any reason.

Special Group Programs

Scout groups, Rotary, home school... if you belong to or are active in any of these or other groups and would like to arrange a custom educational program on a specific topic, call the zoo's education department. We will work with your group to design a special program to meet your needs.

For questions about on-site programs during a field trip to the zoo, family and adult programs, or for off-site Zoo to You programs, call (315) 435-8511 x8559 or email education@rosamondgiffordzoo.org.

Fees, times and availability depend on the program content, duration and materials needed. When considering such a program, please plan at least 6 weeks in advance.
