Friends of the Rosamond Gifford Zoo Announces New Director of Marketing and Communications

Friends of the Rosamond Gifford Zoo welcomes Andrew Brazill as its new Director of Marketing and Communications.

A seasoned marketing professional with a passion for storytelling, Brazill will oversee the zoo's marketing and communications efforts, and will build on the zoo’s strong reputation, expanding its reach to new audiences. Brazill is passionate about the conservation mission of the organization and its significant role as a community resource. He is excited to continue the success previous director Maria Simmons has had over the past 14 years.

“Maria Simmons has been transformative in this role for a decade and a half, and Andrew Brazill is the perfect person to build on her work. This is the start of a new era, and we are excited to see how Andrew can further raise the bar,” said Carrie Large, Executive Director of the Friends of the Rosamond Gifford Zoo.

A lifelong CNY resident, Brazill lives in Liverpool with his wife and two sons. He brings a wealth of experience and marketing prowess to the zoo, having worked in various leadership positions across the industry for more than a decade. Brazill will utilize immersive technology to enhance the guest experience and plans to elevate the zoo’s visibility in the community while preserving its rich history and ensuring its continued growth for future generations.
